The Self Catering Cabin at Azores High

Our property is situated on the outskirts of the quiet, rural village of Pedro Miguel, 10 minutes from the main town of Horta and 25 minutes from the airport. The cabin has a picnic table and a swing seat outside and sits at the top of our garden, with a stunning view of Pico. The mountain's volcanic peak is frequently capped, framed or covered by fascinating cloud formations. The locals say that the "hat" Pico is wearing can foretell the weather.

The house is surrounded by garden, which is a rambling collection of cacti, succulents, shrubs, trees, flowers and a vegetable garden. There is also a barbecue area, with a pergola, table and chairs for our guests' use. We have chickens, two dogs, a cat and two horses.

The self-catering cabin has a double room, shower room, kitchen/diner and sitting room. The latter can become a second bedroom by the use of the two bed-settees, therefore sleeping a maximum of four people. The only exception could be the addition of a cot for a baby, which we can provide.
